The White House is set to resume public tours in December as part of the holiday season after initially pausing them due to the construction of the new ballroom.

Tours will resume on December 2 as part of a celebration of the holiday season, the White House said in a statement posted to its website. The tours will feature Christmas decorations on the State Floor, with each room “thoughtfully designed and curated under the direction of First Lady Melania Trump.”

“Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the beloved annual tradition that transforms the White House into a festive reflection of the spirit, warmth, faith, and hope of the holiday season,” the White House wrote.

Newsweek reached out to the White House by email on Friday afternoon for further comment and clarification.

The White House is accepting tour requests from congressional offices starting on Monday, November 3, with tour availability open 30 days prior to each potential tour date. Currently, the White House is only discussing tours in December and January, making it unclear if it is a long-term plan to continue the tours.
